It is not breaking news that engineering has traditionally been a male dominated industry. But traditions can be broken.
In light of woman’s day on 9 August 2023, we have teamed up with a diverse panel of women in the engineering industry in South Africa, to share their experiences of what it means to be a woman in engineering today.
Vanessa Sealy-Fisher, Loshini Naicker, Elsina Bokaba and Franclyn Samuel will be “taking the mic” as they discuss their experiences and challenges as a woman in this industry, and what steps can be made to shatter this glass ceiling so many women in this industry are faced with.
Please join us for this special edition of Bite-Sized Corrosion on Tuesday 8 August 2023, at 1pm (SAST). Register here to receive the zoom link.
This conversation isn’t just for our inspiring women in the industry! We welcome our supportive male engineers to join us as we explore the role we all play in this exciting and challenging field.
